| Scope of Activity: | The Association for the Production, Storage, and Trade of Electricity (APSTE) is a non-profit organization that supports the development and market integration of renewable energy sources (RES), storage technologies, and electricity trading. The association's mission is to create a favorable regulatory environment and business climate in Bulgaria for the transition to sustainable, carbon-neutral energy.
The broad profile of the association's members - Bulgarian and international companies: manufacturers, designers, and integrators of renewable energy technologies and energy storage systems, electricity traders and investors in the sector - allows APSTE to take an active position and participate in key initiatives to improve the business climate in the sector. The association's activities include dialogue with institutions and the preparation of opinions on legislative changes, trainings, publications, sharing of good practices, as well as participation in national and European platforms.
As a partner of the RE-Source platform and co-founder of RE-Source Southeast HUB, APSTE annually organizes RE-Source Southeast - the largest event for corporate renewable energy sourcing in the region. In 2026, the sixth edition of the conference will be accompanied by a special exhibition, RES & BESS EXPO, which will showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions shaping the future of renewable generation and battery storage.
