Основните цели на БУЛАТОМ са: * Да оказва влияние за формирането на обективно обществено мнение за ядрената енергетика като част от балансираната енергийна политика на България; * Да защитава интересите на българската ядрена индустрия, както пред държавните институции, така и пред европейските институции чрез Европейския Атомен Форум; * Да координира дейността на своите членове по подготовката на технически експертизи за държавни и неправителствени организации в страната, както и за международни институции, по въпроси, свързани с българската ядрена енергетика. Български Атомен Форум е член на Европейския Атомен Форум (Nucleareuropе) - асоциация на европейската ядрена индустрия. За постигането на своите цели, Булатом се стреми да участва пълноценно в провеждащия се в момент дебат в България и Европа за реализиране на целите на ЕК за Зелена Европа, като в същото време защитава интересите на българската ядрената индустрия в дискусиите за енергийното бъдеще на България и Европа. На местно ниво участва активно в изготвянето на Визията за развитие на Електроенергийния сектор на Р България до 2053 г., като защитава нуждата от изграждане и въвеждане в експлоатация на 4 ядрени блока. The main goals of BULATOM are: * To influence the formation of an objective public opinion on nuclear energy as part of the balanced energy policy of Bulgaria; * To protect the interests of the Bulgarian nuclear industry, both to the state institutions and to the European institutions through the European Atomic Forum; * To coordinate the activities of its members in the preparation of technical expertise for state and nongovernmental organizations in the country as well as for international institutions on issues related to the Bulgarian nuclear energy. The Bulgarian Atomic Forum is a member of the European Atomic Forum (Nucleareuropе) - the European Nuclear Industry Association. In order to achieve its goals, Bulatom seeks to participate fully in the ongoing debate in Bulgaria and Europe on the implementation of the European Commission's Green Europe targets, while at the same time defending the interests of the Bulgarian nuclear industry in discussions on the energy future of Bulgaria and Europe. At local level, Bulatom has been actively involved in the preparation of the Vision for the Development of the Electricity Sector of Bulgaria until 2053, defending the need for the construction and commissioning of 4 nuclear power units.
